I see. Thank you for your reply. I will go ahead and begin uploading files.
Before I do so, though, I have some final questions: Would it be better for me to create one item and upload my individual video files into it, or to create one item per video-work? Also, is it possible to upload a video without giving it a CC license or dedicating it to the public domain?

since metadata is t the item page level, not file level, it is best to create separate items so that good metadata can be added to each item.
licensing and rights declarations are up to you. you do not need to choose any license if that is what you wish.
